“I am the owner, jig maker, and rod builder for Sake Fishing LLC. I have been fishing for a long time, but I wasn’t always this involved in it. Over the last 4 or 5 years my passion for fishing has escalated. I’m always searching for something new to learn, and in fishing there is no shortage of knowledge to gain. After I started tying flies for fly fishing I noticed that my success rate increased with flies over plastics. I decided to make hair jigs since i don’t fly fish all that often, and also because I’m not very good at it. I found success with hair jigs, and after showing some of them to my local bait and tackle store the idea for my business was born. If it wasn’t for the support of Johnston Bait and Tackle I might never have gone to this level. I also have my friends and family to thank for the success that I have had to this point. I hope to continue learning as I go and to meet even more people in the fishing community. If you see me out fishing please stop by and say hi!

SAKE is an acronym for the people most important to us. Our family, Sean, Anna, Kiley, and Evelyn.
